WELCOME to a new season.
It was good to see all the clubs represented at the AGM on Monday and the new league has now been opened for registrations in the normal way by club secretaries.
This year the date for having registered clubs and teams on the website has been set at 15 July - a little earlier than normal but it has been done in order that clubs can have early sight of the planned league structure and have the chance to make any representation to the committee before the fixtures are formulated and circulated.Following the teams having been registered, the league structure proposed will be published on the website on 23 July and any representation will need to be made in writing to the league secretary before the committee meet on Thursday 30 July to finalise the league arrangements. Club's who wish to make any representation about the league structure personally to the committee will be given the opportunity to attend part of that committee meeting.
Hopefully this will ensure that the committee can make their final decision with full knowledge of any issues raised and, whilst we will never please everyone - hopefully no one will feel that they haven't had the chance to express their views.The next league meeting will then be held on 10 August and all clubs should send at least one representative. Fixtures for the season will be available at that meeting.
